What was the theme?
We live in a fallen world and each of us must deal with suffering. As creation groans, we struggle with sickness and death. Through our lives, we are sinned against in many ways. As sinful human beings, we ourselves rebelliously choose sin, and incur its consequences. Suffering is everywhere; so let’s talk hope in suffering. Let’s talk about how we can love others in their most painful moments. Let’s talk of how Jesus walks with us in our darkness, our fears and our confusion. Let’s talk hope in suffering.

Why did we do it?
Canadian church leaders strongly desire to counsel those in their congregations and communities in ways that are biblical and practical. This desire has seen a steady increase in biblical counseling within Canada. Founded in 2015, the Canadian Biblical Counseling Coalition exists to further biblical counseling in Canada by creating awareness, equipping leaders, and facilitating connections between Canadians who are counseling biblically.
